What is Career Management
Susie Lawrence is an occupational psychologist and career coach who specialises in working with individuals at a turning point in their career. Susie helps you to understand your ‘career capital’- the transferable skills, knowledge, abilities and personal strengths that you have gained in your life to date. Susie will then help you to explore and decide on options and either market yourself effectively to employers, develop your own business or structure your working life. Susie provides expert guidance to help you decide on future career direction and has a similar objective to that of Charles Russell; ‘to help clients achieve their goals.’

The Career Program
Each career programme is bespoke but typically might include;

  • Assessing your potential – what is it that you really want to do in the future?
  • Identifying your key skills and experience – where are the gaps?
  • Clarifying and focusing your priorities
  • Reviewing your career options and generating ideas
  • Helping you to make an informed decision
  • Constructing a practical action plan to achieve a transition in to your new role
  • Marketing your skills persuasively to potential employers

Your career programme will include creative, challenging and stimulating discussion and Susie will also use psychometrics and additional personality profiling tools to help you to gain a greater understanding of your personality and your potential. Susie has access to comprehensive resources to facilitate career research and exploration and has a wide knowledge of the employment market.
